Butterfly Project Pays Education Forward

Butterfly Project Scholarships are one of the Village Volunteers initiatives, created because education is one of the surest sustainable investments a village can make in its own future.

The idea behind the project is in its name: a scholarship pays education forward. A student who stays in school carries what they learn back into the community, and the benefit keeps moving from one person to the next.

Education also runs through the rest of our work — it is one of the volunteer opportunity areas across our programs in Kenya, Ghana, India and Nepal, and a category of our Sustainable Village Library.
